The tourism sector in Tasikmalaya Regency has very good potential to be developed towards an ecotourism-based area. objectives of this study were: identify the level fulfillment criteria for a tourist village Santana Mekar Village, Tasikmalaya; and formulate development modeling environmentally-based villages. research method used is qualitative with field survey. Analysis three areas using SWOT analysis. Village which can divided into categories, namely: natural tourism, educational cultural based on these potentials, Santanamekar as model eco-based become leading Regency. results are expected provide important information about that input local governments policies
